Interested in Joining the Board?

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held on the last Monday of the month in November. After the short AGM starting at 7PM (earlier than the usual meeting time) we have our speaker. If you are interested in joining the board and are a member of the Horticultural Societies of Parkdale & Toronto please reach out during a meeting or by emailing us at info@parkdaletorontohort.com

Do you believe in what we stand for and what we do (i.e. encouraging gardening, supporting community gardens, and learning about plants, horticulture and environmental stewardship)? Do you want to make a difference in our community? Do you have a willingness to commit time for board meetings, general meetings and special events? Are you a team player? If so, please let us know!

Interested members will be invited to our in-person board meeting in November at a board member’s home (most of our meetings are held online). We will have dinner first and then hold our board meeting. You can get a taste of what it might be like to be on the board, and we can get to know one another a little more before you decide if you want to commit to joining.

The term of office is 2 years, and if you need to leave before that it is possible to do so. It's nice to be on the board!
